Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are currently eligible for the government Universal Free School Meals. If your child is in Years 3 to 10 but you are receiving benefits and think you may be eligible for Free school meals, please fill out the Free School Meal Application form and return it to the school office and we will let you know if you are eligible. Children in Nursery are not eligible for Free School Meals. For more information on Free School meals pleas click here.
Please make the school aware if your child has special dietary needs or suffers from any food allergies. If there is no medical or religious reason why your child should not eat a certain food, we always encourage them to try everything as having a school meal every day is important for their social skills and to introduce them to new foods and healthy eating.
If, however, you would prefer your child to have a packed lunch please make sure that it is balanced and nutritious. We are a water only school and children are only allowed to bring in water to drink, their bottles can be filled up at the water fountains throughout the day. We do not allow crisps, chocolate bars, fizzy drinks, juices or glass bottles.
